Assign Windows 7 a Static IP Address


This video showing how to assign a static IP address for Windows 7.  Don't ask me how she spoke very fast.
Here is my simple step to assign a static IP.

  1. go to Start, and search for " Network and Sharing Center " ;
  2. Then select " Change Adapter Settings " on left top corner ;
  3. Select your " Local Area Connection ", right-click the select properties ;
  4. Mostly we all still using IP address V4. Select " Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) ", double-click or select properties ;
  5. Fill in the black with respective information about your network structures. Please contact your network administrator for further information.
Tips : use " ipconfig /all " in command prompt and look for " Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection " section, then look for the IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS server. It will help you a lot more. :)
